nightShe didn't want to cry, not with the blue crab on her head. But she had not found anything that would support them all for a home. The storm had ravaged the coast line, and many of them relied upon the coast for the food sources. She didn't want them to starve, but she also didn't think some of them would be able to survive in the forest. The forest seemed to have been less damaged than the coast line. She'd have to do her best to take care of things though, make things like they were before. She had friends that were relying on her. For a moment, her thoughts wandered back to her herd. Would they have thought she had done this? She had power over water, after all...and she knew they had grown afraid of her. But she didn't think ill of them. She was...stronger, than most of the others had ever become. And at least she had gone to a new and fun place, at least for a while. She picked her way delicately down the cliff, not even noticing the strange scent on the wind. She was too busy picking her way down the cliff to care, but as she made her way toward the cave, focusing her mind on the high tide to push it out into the sea and uncover the hiding places, she saw a few hoof prints washed away in the sand. She gulped, and stopped dead in her tracks. The blue crab didn't quite understand why, so he tugged on her mane a little. She walked toward the sea and lowered her head toward it, and he scurried down into the ocean, doing a little dance. She turned and gulped as she scented the wind. There was the scent of a stallion in the land now, and she was trespassing. She backed a few steps into the ocean, knowing she could protect herself if need be with that much weight of water at her back. It would not be long, surely, before he appeared.

The Grulla stallion was still on top of the cliff as the waves crashed down below, the winds whipping still from the after effects of the storm. The beaches had changed quite a bit as he looked down upon them. It was then that he noticed a lightly colored fae with something on her head. Finding the horse in his lands to be quite interesting, the grulla stallion calmly made his way down the cliff, heading towards the single pathway that led down to the beach.
He was careful as he navigated the path, feeling his hooves slip a few times at the rocks loosened by the storm. As he hit the beach he kept his distance at first, moving his body so she wouldn't feel trapped as he bowed to her. "Welcome to my lands, my lady. May I know the name of the fae who stands before me?" He stayed kind, not crowding her in any way as he knew that would probably put her on the defensive.

The water swirled around her, swirled up behind her creating almost a fortress wall. It towered a few feet above her, the sea spray tangling with her mane as she held it steady, glaring to the stud as she caught sight of him making his way down the cliff face. Her auds flicked back as she glanced toward the cave where she had left many of her friends behind. He hadn't hurt them, had he? If he had...if he had he would turn the oceans red with his blood. She would feed the sharks with his remains tonight... She drew in a deep breath. She shouldn't go assuming things, just because he was here it did not mean he would have done anything. He could, for all she knew, be a very nice stallion. Who knows? Perhaps he could in fact be her...heart's desire. As he approached, she let the waves ebb slightly behind her, but still kept them raised. She took a step back toward them, so that her tail was brushing against it. She gulped as he stood before her now. His voice was gentle, and it was kind. Not like some of the stallions that had been at the farm, not like some of the colts she had previously known. "Me llamo Desea De Corazon, y tu?" He had asked for her name, and so she gave it. While she could understand the language of English-she had never learned to speak it. She had not mingled much with the horses in captivity, and the human stable hand...she had not managed to communicate with. She kept the walls of water around her, in case the stallion changed his mind. As he bowed down, the blue crab came rushing from the waves at him, claws raised and snapping at him. He waited until the male was done speaking, before he latched onto his nose...only this time, he wasn't letting go when the stallion tossed his head. "AZUL!" She squealed as the crab latched on, and in her momentary lapse in attention she shot a harsh water spout out toward the stallion's nose, similar to the strength of a fire hose, to make the crab let loose. The crab staggered once he hit the ground, waving his claws wildly at her for a moment, before turning his attention back to the stallion. Snapping his claws, he scurried toward him once more, dancing around his hoof with his claws in the air, as if he was saying 'put em up put em up...'

Hercules snorted as he jumped back slightly, looking at the crab that was pinching the end of his nose. He tried not to toss his head as he didn't want to hurt the creature, but he did want it to let go of his nose. It hurt a bit as he felt a small trickle of blood, followed by the release of pressure as he realized water had shot by his head at the crab. He blinked as he looked down at the crab, being careful not to put his nose within reach of the creature's claws again.
Looking back up at the mare, he smiled softly. "Thank you Desea my dear, I am Hercules." Hearing the snapping of claws at his feet, Hercules looked down at the crab, carefully moving his hooves away from the crab, not wanting to step on the creature that Desea seemed to care for. Instead he allowed his fog to encase his hooves and spread out just enough that it would encase the crab. No harm would come to the creature but hopefully it would make it back off. He wished it no harm and he hoped it would calm down.
"If i may be so bold to ask, my dear, what brings you to the ocean during this storm?" He watched her, getting the feeling she could very well take care of herself and finding it lovely.

Desea couldn't help but giggle slightly at the little crabs antics, and she lowered her crown to it and snorted, the wet sand not even flinching beneath her breath. It shied away from its task for a moment, before the fog hit. Desea squealed, not able to see the small blue crab anymore. Her auds flicked back as the tide seemed to rise up behind her, but she quickly flicked her ears forward once more and simply closed her eyes, drawing in a calming breath. The water rushed out toward the steed before her, only about two inches above the ground...but in doing so, when it returned to her, it drew the little crab back. She snatched him by the claw before he could react and tossed him into the air, bopping her head slightly so that he landed between her ears. He bopped her with his claw-not liking the experience of flying through the air when it was not his intent- but then settled down into her hair, his eyes turning to the stallion and glaring, unblinking. Her auds flicked to the stallions words, and she eyed him still warily. "Esta es mi casa, buscamos un lugar más adecuado con la tormenta que inundó las cuevas, pero no podía encontrar uno para apoyar a mis amigos. Así que tendremos que reconstruir aquí."He seemed to understand her words well enough, so she spilled them freely even though her tongue was different than his. She snorted, auds flicking as she awaited what he would say. There were two ways this could go; he could either allow her to stay, or he would say she could not...in which case...well, she had an ocean behind her that would decide his fate. night

Hercules watched the mare calmly as her water came forward to pull the blue crab back to safety upon her head. He hadn't meant to scare her with hiding the crab in his fog, allowing it to thin out a bit around his hooves. He met her glare with a calm, collected look upon his face as he breathed calmly. Even knowing that she could control water and had an entire ocean behind her. He didn't fear her, he admired her bravery and couldn't help but want her at his side. Hearing her words, he looked a bit confused, understanding some of what she had said, mostly that she called this land her home and than he didn't fully understand what she was mentioning the caves for. Taking a couple moments he seemed to think.
"My dear Desea, I've claimed these lands as my home to raise my herd once I can find others to join me... Would you like to stay by my side? I will help you protect your friends and offer you a safe home in return."

Her ears pinned at his words, understanding only pieces of them and perhaps misunderstanding what he meant entirely. If the meaning she had interpreted was indeed what he meant, then she wanted nothing to do with him, and wanted him out of her home. "No se puede reclamar la tierra. ¡Me ofreces una casa, una en la que ya he vivido! ¿Eso significa que me estás obligando a irme si no quiero unirte a ti? Elige tus palabras sabiamente, semental." The wave behind her grew in height as she waited for him to reply, though she knew she had probably misunderstood. She did not want to stay anywhere near him if he was going to turn her and all of her friends away, simply for not wishing to join him. No, it was not the way she wanted to live.

Hercules wouldn't lie, he only understood bits and pieces of what the mare had said, but from what he had gathered, she had felt quite insulted and there was quite the misunderstanding. He bowed to her before shifting his body, relaxing it so as to not seem a threat to her in hopes it could ease the tension that had built.
"My dear, that is not what I meant at all. I merely just asked if you would like to stay by my side and help me start building my herd. I can see quite clearly no one can force you to do what they want. If you do not want to join, you are free to do as you please then." He offered a bit of a smile as he took a few moments before speaking again.
"Whatever your decision may be, I offer to protect both you and your friends no matter what choice you make." He prayed she realized what he was offering.. if she wanted to join his new herd that he wished to start, he would happily take her in.. but if she refused them he would allow her to stay here and protect both her friends and her from anyone who might try anything...

"Un momento por favor." The water dropped behind her as she trotted away from it, into the cave not too far up the shore. She nickered and clucked slightly, and out of the crevice in the side came an otter, who barked with an excited sound to see her and dove into the water, closing the gap between them more quickly before leaping out and onto her back. Other creatures soon followed, crabs and a few birds, chortling and hopping along, all ending up on her back. A sea turtle poked its head up. Even a pair of penguins came waddling out, hugging her legs with their fins. The strangest of the creatures, who gave a rather large, pained sigh, was the manatee. With a shriek she hurriedly rushed to the log that lay on top of it, pinning it to the cave wall. She grunted as she tried to dislodge it, knowing full well she could not use her powers. Whinnying panic-stricken she hoped the stallion would come to her aid and help her. She had merely wished to ask her friends what they thought, but even working as a team they could not dislodge the debris that the manatee was trapped under.

Hearing the fae ask for a moment, the stallion simply nodded, awaiting patiently for her to return with whatever decision she decided upon. He kept eyes on the direction she had gone, even so far as to have watched her form move away from him, if only to make sure she would be safe. His mother had raised him to be a gentleman, always giving out the saying “If you are kind, you do not need to force others to stay with you, for they will come to you like flies to honey if you can be true to them.”
He did miss his parents dearly, and even being separated from his sister worried him so. He knew she would not know these lands and feared for her safety of wandering alone. Just as he was about to shift and relax a leg, Hercules heard the panic-stricken whinny of ‘his’ lovely Desea. Pushing off of his Hindquarters, the dark stallion launched himself forward, running as fast as he could, following the path she had taken to the cave before slowly down and taking in all the strange animals. Just before seeing one of them stuck, pinned really by a log. Moving forward, being careful to not step on anyone, he offered his strength. Putting his shoulder against the log and throwing his full weight behind his push.
The cave floor was a bit slick, but he was sure-footed and hardy and tried his best to keep pushing as hard as he could, wanting to help save this strange looking creature that the mare seemed to care so deeply for. With a lurch he felt the log start to move, pushing harder against it just so it could be move completely out of the way where no one would be harmed by it again.

The manatee squealed, wriggling free as the stallion helped the mare move the log. It clapped a second, nodding its approval before darting away into the deeper waters. The log flowed out as well, and the mare was finally able to breathe a soft sigh of relief. She looked to the stallion and smiled, nudging him gently as she looked upon him. Perhaps yes, she could mostly take care of herself. But with the stallion she could take care of a lot more friends than just the ones she had here, and help many more. Dropping her head a little, she looked up to the stallion. She knew his language, but not much of it. If they were going to live together, she was going to have to learn more of it. So, it would help to start somewhere. "I...will...stay. We...will stay." She said, gesturing to her friends around her.

The grulla stallion stopped as soon as the manatee was free, seeming quite happy that he was able to help free a friend on the mare whose company he found himself enjoying. Feeling her nudge him gently he nickered softly to her and nuzzled her just a bit. He was glancing around at all of her friends quite curious of them before turning his attention back to the fae. Seeing that she seemed to have something to say as he watched her with gentle eyes.
Listening to his words he found himself filling with happiness that a mare would be joining his company. “I’m so excited to hear this! I would love to get to know each and every one of your wonderful friends.” He glanced around excitedly moving closer to Desea as he nuzzled her gently. “And we will find a wonderfully safe home for them here so they never have to worry about danger.”

The fae bickered gently to the stallion, happy that he was happy. He had done something good for them, so they could do something good for him. He seemed a nice stallion with a good head on his shoulder, she knew she could grow to love him in time. She liked him well enough now that she had agreed to stay with him, didn’t she? Though that may have had something to do with their proximity to the water, and the fact that this had been the only home she had known for quite some time now. She whickered gently to her friends, telling them not to worry, but she’d like some time alone with the stallion. Picking her way back out of the cave, she stood on the beach a moment looking out over the sea, before turning her eyes back to look at the stallion as he emerged from the cave. “W-would you like...tour? Tell me about you while we walk.” She moved off without waiting for his reply, racing down the beach as the salty wind brushed through her hair.
