The "GrassLands" as it was so nicknamed is the area of Blue Ridge associated with the hay growing. They grow hay every other year in different sections of it, letting the cow herds roam the other part during the off season to refertilize. It is surrounded by a barbed wire fence, so cows do get loose periodically. It has two sections, 10 acres each.
