The lighting is low in the spa section, allowing you to feel relaxed instead of having glaring lights on you. Soothing music can be heard as you walk up the steps. The salon is better lit, and mostly with natural lighting-allowing you to see the colors as they would show in the sunlight.
The waiting room has soothing music and videos playing, some people have been known to fall asleep on the rather comfortable seats and couches.

Without much funding, the humane society has struggled along on the edge of town with a small holding paddock for the periodic horse that comes through, although most horses are sent to live as pasture horses for the school. They have a wide variety of animals, from strays to surrenders to seizures. They often times take a few from the neighboring counties to help keep down euthanasia. It is a small little brick building that has a cat room and a dog room along the back with runs.

There was a long and twisted tail behind them. Little is known about the actual history of them, but they bought the land from the Parker's when the town first started showing up on maps in the 1800s. It has grown since then, not necessarily from land from the original Parker plantation, but slowly incorporating more and more of the unclaimed land, now spanning over 100 acres.

Come one, come all, there's a fair in town!
Though some rides go year round, most of the time the place acts as a sales and auction yard or show ring for the horses.
