Guidelines and Forms for Second Generations

SECOND GENERATIONS

It is always exciting to welcome a bouncing baby...whatever into your life! We can't wait to meet the little one! Please read through these directions and fill out the form below to get your stats!


○ You must have a thread in which the breeding happened. Since the site is PG-13 this can obviously not be graphic breeding, but it at some point needs to go "they bred" at the very least. You will be required to include the link to the thread when you fill out the form.

○ You cannot breed your characters with your other characters. If you feel the need to do this, then you are responsible for the stats-not us. They still have to make sense!

○ Also, in conjunction with the above, we are not responsible for the stats of children from characters that come onto the site pregnant by an NPC. If you and a fellow rper are bringing characters over from another website who had a previous encounter, it will be assessed on a case by case basis but BOTH rpers of the parents must be present here.

○ You must roleplay in at least one thread as the pregnant character before giving birth. No insta-births! They must be pregnant for at least one season before giving birth.

○ Please complete an application for the child before roleplaying with them.

○ Birthing complications do happen. Please do not be angry if they happen to you; the process for determining stats/complications/magic is below.

○ Because of the nature of the island, non magic user parents MAY end up birthing magic children. If you do NOT want this to occur, please put a note in your stat post and we will not run the calculations.

○ If you ABSOLUTELY want your child to have magic from non-magic parents, please purchase the item from the shop. You can then CHOOSE what magical ability they will be born with; but keep in mind that they will likely be weak users. (And obviously you can't birth a demi-god or a fey from non-god or fey parents.) Generally, the child would end up a were, shifter, psychic, or elemental.

○ Magic users will generally always have a magic child of some sort. Depending on the mix of the parents, this may vary. However, if the parents are of the same magical type (such as two shifters, two weres, two vampires, etc.) will result in the same type of magic user.

○ Twins and triplets are rare. If you would like to guarantee yourself a twin or triplet, please purchase the item from the shop. Horses will ONLY be allowed to have twins, no triplets! If you do NOT want twins, please specify in your stats post and we will skip the calculation.

○ If neither parent wishes to play the child, or if you wish to adopt some of a brood/litter out, please post in the abandon/adopt section the ones that are for adoption. It is generally the rule that if you do this, the new rper gets to pick the personality, but that would be up to the parents.

○ While we will not currently press for it, keep in mind heat cycles of wild animals-they mostly are going to breed in the winter/summer and birth in the spring/fall.

○ You can choose to either have a birthing thread or age the child up a few months in their first post. After this, you can age the child six months a season until they are of age for animals, and a year until they are of age 13.


Please be as SPECIFIC as possible with your genetics (recessive/dominant traits, etc) so that we may accurately determine your children's stats.

Humans we will determine their base genetics using this calculator, mostly for hair and eyes. If you want to give us more information for it; be our guest! We will do a random draw for which one the child will present with using the percentages as weights.

Horses we will determine base genetics using this calculator. As you can see it asking for specifics on dominance of traits, so again be as specific as you can about it. They will be given with percentages, and we will do a random draw of which one the child will present with using the percentages as weights.
Twins will be determined by a six sided die roll; if the same roll is given three times in a row, twins will be born. A second die will be added and rolled again; if it is the same roll on both die, a triplet will be born.

Gender will be determined by a three sided dice with 10 rolls. A 1 or a 2 will grant a female; a 3 will grant a male. Males will be made more rare for population control purposes. If you would like to guarantee a specific gender, please purchase the item from the shop.

For non-magic parents, magic will be determined with a D-20 dice. If a 1, 10 or a 20 is rolled, then magic will be given to the child based on a random draw.

For complications, a d-20 will be rolled. A 1 will result in the death of the mother. A 2 will result in a still born. A 3 will result in the mother never being able to conceive again. A 4 will result in a major disability of the child (to be determined by random draw; such as deaf, blindness, severe mental disability, health defect.) A 5-10 will result in a random minor complication that may or may not affect them long term. Anything above a 10 and the birth will have gone fine. You can purchase a safe guard from the shop; either removing stillborn/death of mother, removing all major complications, or removing all complications. (This must be purchased by the mother.)
