A gloved hand rubbed at the back of his neck, a nervous habit he happened to pick up from several humans he'd been around for years now. This new island, what was it called now? Firefly Pass? No that wasn't it. He groaned, looking at his feet. Why was Rhage even here, why did he leave the main land, they were trapped out here? There was no way to escape if trouble were to happen. His ungloved hand reached for the door handle in front of him. [break][break]

How the hell was Rhage even feeding out here? There wasn't a direct connection to the Scribe Virgin out here, nor was there many vampire women he could feed from, at least not from what Vishous could smell. At the thought of Rhage not feeding, his body movements completely stopped. Rhage was starving himself. He fucking knew it. The man could never forget that human woman right, that's why he was fucking starving himself. V let out a low growl. He had to find the bastard and soon. [break][break]

His large feet hit the cement as he finally pulled the door to the gentleman's club open and walked in. Rhage had to be here right? Rhage liked his women, and the gentleman's club was easy women right? V's nose curled up as he walked in, loose women was never his thing. Before he got too far in though, he looked over at the bar and walked over to it, ordering scotch on the rocks before slipping a credit card over the counter.[break][break]

He frowned sitting at a table near a corner so he could look over the club. "Where the fuck is that bastard?" His gloved hand once again reached behind his head and stroked his neck. He wasn't sure what name Rhage would be using now, if he was using his given name or some bullshit alias he used back home. V frowned, completely not paying attention to the stage or anyone else for that matter, just looking over the club for the blond haired brother.

Vi had been having a dry spell. Nothing she seemed to do was working. The man she had been tracking had disappeared, as if he had just been a joke. The only assurance she had that he was real was a positive pregnancy test, something she hadn't shared with anyone yet. You can't get impregnated by a ghost. At least, that's what the stories all told. Perhaps they had caught on to her little shenanigan, and she had been played more than she had played him. She thought she was better than that, but in these times, who knew? Sighing heavily, she peeked around the curtain to the floor. Some of the regulars were there, courting their usual ladies, but other than that-nothing. Leaning against the wall, she sighed again...what was she going to do with the squirt growing inside of her?
Was it just a false pregnant? Could she really bring life into this world, when she was downward spiraling into something she didn't even understand? The underbelly of the beast was vicious, and she was right up inside of it. She had gotten into this undercover job too deep and she was beginning to question where he loyalties even lied. What could she tell Austin? What could she tell the department? She was supposed to be something special in the police department, and here she was pregnant with some scurge of the earth she had been supposed to be keeping at arms length. She wasn't cut out for this life anymore than he had been cut out to be a father.
She closed her eyes a moment, and childhood fantasies flooded her brain. Silly stories of things that went bump in the night; werewolves, vampires, oh my! But something drew her eyes open, like a subconcious intuition that something was going on in the darkness of the club. She let herself stand, and drew in a deep breath-holding it in a minute. If she wasn't going to work, then she might as well go home. And work was what she was going to do. There had to be another seed the mafia had planted in the midst of the most secure place they had, even if Marcus had disappeared. And she'd figure out what to do with the baby-even if it meant the coat hanger. She wasn't ready to be a mother. Maybe she'd miscarry. Determined, she flipped open the curtain, her eyes scanning the floor.
A lone man sat in the darkest corner. If that wasn't a brooding type she didn't know what was. Slinking toward him in her leather get up, she tried to strain her hearing; he was muttering something to himself and she wanted to hear it. Something about a bastard. Her thoughts leaped to to her abdomen, of the bastard child growing within. Of the demon spawn. Would it be like her, and choose the right side of the line, or be like its dad and be misguided? She stole a look at the man in the corner, and her determination steeled once more.
She sauntered toward him, putting on her best face. Maybe in the dim light he wouldn't notice her desperation for attention, her need to touch another soul and be healed.
"Why the long face, lone star?"
