Whether or not this was a good idea was completely unknown to him, but he knew, he had to get across no matter what it took. So he made his way towards where the boat would go over to the island of his destination. Firefly Falls, was it? Supposedly rumored to have some sort of home for people like him. Though he doubted that. No where would ever be a home for him. At least not that he thought. Still, he could almost feel it coming from across the sea. Kyou sat back, finding himself a good spot to hunker down and wait for the boat to arrive. Now the only real question was how he was going to get on it. Of course, he was pretty good at sneaking if he chose to go at night.
After a bit of a nap throughout the daytime, Kyou emerged and snuck back out to the docks, looking over the small line of people that seemed fairly anxious to get everything loaded up and to get going. He looked around a bit, narrowing his eyes to try and take in someone that he could probably get his hands on for a ticket. After he had picked a decent looking target, he made his way over. "Excuse me, sir? I'm a little lost, is this the boat out to Port Charles?" As soon as he got the yes, that was all he really needed. "Perfect."
It is probably better not to focus on the details of how he managed to get on the boat, but more or less that he made it. Gods, he hated boats. He almost hated this more than he had hated the god damn airplane. He wasn't sure how he had even managed that trip either. Still, here he was, stowed away beneath deck, fresh blood still dripping down his chin. Gods! How much he had needed that! After all the stress he endured getting to Hawaii in the first place, and now to finally be on the way to where he wanted to be, he deserved the fine treat! "You need to lighten up on the calories there.... Robert." Kyou flicked the name tag of the man draped in his lap. "You're going to give me a heart attack by association."
Once he was sure he had his fill, he dug around for his knife and picked his teeth clean with it. "Such a shame to waste you though... Suppose that can't be helped though." He shrugged and went to work covering his tracks as he usually did, after all, it was hard to identify bite marks if there were no bite marks. After everything was cleaned up, he just stood over the body, his hands on his hips. "Well. Let's hide you now, hmm?" Kyou looked around for something big enough to hide a body in, then decided to tie whatever it was to a dolly that was down there for moving shipping crates. It was enough to move now that it was on wheels. So, he took the container of dead Robert towards the back of the ship, where he looked for the shipping entrance and proceeded to shove the dolly and everything else out the door and into the water. He was low enough on the boat that not many people would take notice, hopefully. The fact that it was the dead of night also probably helped.
Upon completing his task, he stripped himself down and wiped himself off, exchanging his now very dirty clothes, for the cleaner ones he had in his backpack. He decided to go rummaging through whatever luggage was around for anything that might suit him. He found some cash, but not much, a ring which he immediately donned upon his finger, and some clothes that were roughly his size, which he threw into his bag. He found some blankets in a storage closet and yanked one out to nap under.
A bit of time passed before he woke up and heard shuffling about above him. Kyou stretched and yawned and decided that he might as well get up and explore for a bit. It was definitely day time now, and he went to double check the area he had fed in, making sure to clean up whatever mess he hadn't seen the night before. Once he was completely satisfied, he went up on deck to try and see what he could see.
As he emerged from the depths of the boat, the smell of the sea was almost too much for him to handle. The swaying of the boat was getting on his nerves. And all of these god damn horses that threw a fit anytime he drew within earshot was really annoying too. He could only stick to about half of the boat without them drawing attention to him, which limited the things that he could do to keep from being too bored. But at least it would be over soon. The island started coming into view, and Kyou flexed his fingers, balling his hands into fists and then releasing them, a few times. A wicked grin appeared on his face as he made his way towards the front of the boat. "About damn time." He could feel it in the air. Whatever it was about this place had been calling to him for awhile. Something about it made him feel like maybe there would be something here worth his while. "Tch. Yeah right."
As soon as the boat drew close enough, he made a beeline towards the exit, not even really waiting for them to tell him it was safe, he just took off. He was so glad to finally be on solid ground again, he almost felt like kissing it, but he wasn't that much of a loser. Kyou took a deep breath in, just inhaling the smell of the island. Of course he instantly regretted that due to the scent of alcoholism and dead fish that settled into this area. Well. It was an island. He supposed there wasn't really anything else to do but get drunk.
Still, he adjusted the strap of the backpack on his shoulder and started walking. He wasn't quite sure where he wanted to go, or what he wanted to do, but he knew he had to be here. He could feel it all around him. The magic. It was almost intoxicating, and he just wanted more of it. He supposed he could start there. He followed the trail of whatever was closest, though everything was fairly mixed up, he hoped that he would at least end up somewhere good.
