She was free. She reveled in the moment as she galloped as far away from the Sales Barn as she could. She hated being confined, she hated having to be moved around. They should have known to better secure her stall, and so she had no qualms about taking the chance to run. It was nighttime, and it appeared that the person who was supposed to be checking on the horses had apparently fallen asleep on the job. It was a windy and dry night, so any step she made in the dirt was quickly whisked away by the wind. It would be hard to ever find her again if she could get far enough away. Given that she had been out of work for a while now do to the bone chips, and people not wanting to purchase her because of them, she was heaving even after the mile or two she had run-she'd lost track of how long she had been running for. Had it been minutes? Hours? She wasn't sure. She glanced behind her and could see nothing but darkness. Her auds flicked but she heard nothing but the silence of the woods around her. Feeling as though she may have gotten far enough away, she slowed finally. The night surrounded her heaving sides, and as the willows brushed against her pelt she felt them brush some of the sweat from her. As the light of the moon pierced through the trees, she could be seen as if she was a ghost; the sweat making her coat glisten with an unearthly glow. night

Twilight had been wandering the woods, allowing the branches of the willow tree to drag over his pelt as he moved like a shadow in the darkness. His wound was still healing but thanks to Erviin's attention it didn't hurt nearly as bad. As he came to a stream, the large stallion stopped for a drink, pausing mid-gulp as a new scent reached his nostrils. Large black head shot up as his ears swiveled, listening for any sounds to give way as to which direction this smell was coming from. Blowing harshly from his nostrils he stood still, not making a noise except with his breath.
Eyes glancing around as sharp as a hawks while he tried to pinpoint the location. That was when he noticed it, like a ghost wading through the willows. He watched the 'ghost' for a bit longer before slowly moving towards it, wondering if he was honestly seeing things or if that was another horse. Ears pricked towards the figure, Twilly splashed softly in the creek as he crossed it, moving slowly, not wanting to scare whatever it was that he was seeing.

She was not expecting to run into anyone so soon after stopping, so when the scent of the stallion reached her nares her ears pinned back. She was in no condition to make a good first impression with anyone, let alone a potentially handsome stallion who could protect her from future human encounters. She shrunk away from the smell, letting the willow branches fall in place in front of her as her eyes scanned the night for him. At first, she could not make him out in the darkness, given that he was pitch black as well, but as he splashed through the creek she caught him in the moonlight. He was indeed a fine specimen, if ever there was one. What was he doing so close to human lands though? Was it all a trap to bring her back to that sales barn again? She stepped out from the willows and nickered gently, saying nothing more for now. It was good to see another free horse, it probably meant she was indeed far enough away from the humans to be considered a safe distance. As she moved toward the creek he splashed through, she lowered her head to get a drink. There was no use in hiding in the trees since he appeared to have spotted her already, despite what she felt was a ucky outward appearance. She glanced to him again before lowering her head to the water and taking a few long gulps, the shadows now cast over her so that she no longer gleamed as much; looking instead like a regular champagne paint.

Twilight stood tall as he noticed the mare coming out from behind the Willow branches. His ears pricked in her direction as all of his attention was on her, he couldn't quite tell yet if he was still seeing a ghost or if this mare was just that beautiful. It wasn't until his ears picked up the sound of a gentle nicker. He breathed through his nostrils, backing from the creek so that she could have more room to get a drink. As he watched her from the shadows, he noticed she was indeed a real thing, which made the heart in his chest pump faster as he realized this was the first horse he's encountered in so long. She was more beautiful than anything he'd ever seen and he couldn't quite figure out what to say to her. All he knew was that he wanted to keep her safe... if she would allow him. He knew nothing about her, and yet he knew he would follow her to make sure no harm would come to her.
"You are the first horse i've seen around these parts... what brings you out at such a dangerous time of night?" He wasn't aiming to scare her, but he knew he'd run into one bear trap... and who knew how many more of them were scattered around this forest... His eyes were calmly looking over her pelt, not in an unverving way or a lustful way, but just simply looking over her as if he was trying to memorize how she looked.

Her ears pinned as he approached, not to scare him away necessarily but more to assess the situation. He was an unknown stallion after all, and she did not know if he was kind or if he was ruthless. He seemed more hesitant than she almost though, and so she flicked her ears forward and continued to drink. She raised her head to him, water dripping from her lips. A gentle wind blew through her mane and tail as she reached her muzzle out toward his, drawing in a deep breath of his scent. She could smell a hint of the sales barn on him, and a much calmer scent...but it was still human. Her ears flicked back as she drew her head away, standing there and looking to him warily. He had been with a human recently, at the very least. Though she wrecked of them from being in the sales barn, he had been with one tonight. She raised her head to the stars, her eyes looking to them for a moment before she turned her attention once more to the stallion who stood there. "Freedom." Was the only word that she choked out as she looked to him, took in the sight of his gorgeous black pelt. He was strong looking, she'd give him that.

Armageddon watched the mare, his ears flicking in different directions as his nostrils flared slightly, taking in her scent as well. He knew he probably smelled of a person, though from his time with Erviin, she was unlike any person he'd ever known and due to such... he never classified her as one. She looked like one sure, but there was something completely different about her. Something that was unlike any other human.
As the large stallion continued to watch the mare, he quieted some, reaching his head down to get a few more gulps of water from the stream. He had a feeling it would take some time for this mare to trust him, and he wasn't fully sure as to why he wanted her to.. but he did. Like a gentleman with a crush, he wanted her to trust him, but he would never say such things out loud. Hearing her speak, his black ears pricked towards her again, listening to her wonderful angel like voice.
Nodding slightly he glanced around as well. "That's what brought me out here as well... and I've found it. Though be careful.. there are contraptions in these woods that are hard to see, until you step on one."
He didn't want her to walk alone, or at least to leave his side without knowing what the contraptions looked like. He knew the pain of the contraptions and didn't wish such pain on anyone else... if Erviin was going to protect this forest.. then he would help her do the same.

Her ears pricked back for just a moment at his words, nostrils flaring to bring in his scent. Why did it have to be a stallion that appeared first? Why couldn't it have been a mare so she could get her hormones in check, or at least a gelding that had gotten loose so that she would not run the risk of being tied down to anything? She raised her tail, she couldn't help it. Spring was in the air and so to was the breeding season then. She grunted, only hoping he would not notice the smell, hoping he was either daft or stupid and would not know the smell of it. Her body ached with the want of it, with the need of it...but it was soemthing she would never say aloud. Auds pricked forward once again as she tried to fight the feelings within her. He was certainly a handsome stallion, and he'd made no advances toward her. Seemed only to want to warn her of things. But he smelled of human, and that she could not trust. "And who are you that I should heed your warning?" She snapped out, trying to hide her underlying mixture of emotions instead with the touch exterior of anger. The inner yearning was still there however, despite herself. It was her body's way of trying to push her into such a situation, and she had to fight against it.

Twilly caught the scent in his nostrils, though he fought against himself to not respond to it. This was the first horse he'd seen in a long, long time and he didn't wish to ruin such things.. even if it was breeding season and he could feel himself wishing to answer said smell. He fought within himself though as he continued to watch her, moving slowly though as if he was going to circle her. Stopping when her harsh voice came out, only to look at his hind leg as he glanced between the injured leg and the beautiful Mare in front of him.
"Honestly, i got stuck in said contraption before a wood fairy rescued me.." His voice was soft as he spoke, surprising himself at the fact that it did not shiver as he spoke to her, still taking in her scent. Part of him wanted nothing more than to try and solidify a bloodline for himself, while the other did not wish to be rude to this lovely mare. She was the first he'd seen in quite some time now, so what could would it do for him to scare her off...
"I simply wish to give you a fair warning, my dear. So that your lovely pelt is not tarnished as mine was by said contraption.." He continued to watch her closely, wondering if she was going to stop hating him... or if she would keep it up.

Her ears pinned flat against her skull as he approached, and she tried to clamp her tail down to stop enticing him but her body betrayed her and her scent was released once more. She took a few steps back just in case, eyeing him warily. At his mention of a wood fairy, her auds flicked forward for but a moment. "What is such a thing? Only legends exist." Her body betrayed her fully now, as her notrils flared and were filled with the musk of the stallion. She inched closer, reaching her muzzle out toward him, as if asking for help and guidance. She was afraid, more than anything else, of what he might be thinking of right now. He could simply have come because he smelled a mare, and now that she was in heat it was a bonus...he could just rape her and leave her here, never to be seen again. But there was something different about him...something she hadn't seen in the cocy stallions who were bred constantly to mares. "What is the name of the informant, who so diligently tries to save others when he is himself in a state of ill repair?" She moved toward him then, looking to his injured leg as she lowered her head. Her body betrayed her though, in such a particular position, releasing the scent into his nostrils directly almost. She winced, her muscles tensing as she prepared to run...but she didn't want to leave just yet, didn't want to be alone again for god knew how long. And perhaps, he had succeeded in frightening her about the traps-she couldn't just go running willy nilly through the woods if such traps existed...

Armageddon noticed that she was trying to clamp her tail down, flicking his own slightly as he watched her, his nostrils flaring ever so slightly as he continued to take in her scent, shifting himself as he heard her claim that wood fairies did not exsist. Shaking his head, he almost laughed, instead he shook his head again, telling her she was wrong.
"On the contrary they do exsist... I've been around one. She doesn't really talk, just hums or sings... but that Fairy is the only reason as to why I am not still trapped in the metal contraption." He stood tall as he watched her again, wondering if she would argue that his wood fairy did not exsist... when Armageddon knew full well that he was just going to end up arguing against the point.
Hearing her ask his name, he couldn't help but bulk up slightly. "I go by Twilight Armageddon, but you my dear, may call me whatever you wish... If only you will tell me the name of the beautiful maiden in front of me..?" He cocked his head a bit as her scent hit him again, almost as if it was a smack in the face with her now being beside him.
It took almost all of his energy to not allow himself to mount her right here and now as his body and instincts were telling him to do. He did reach his muzzle out to her shoulder, trying to stay polite, while a storm raged inside himself.

She could feel her body tensing at the proximity to the stallion, as if already preparing for him to mount her. She cursed herself under her breath, not wanting to deal with it, not wanting this to happen. Her auds pinned still against her skull as he tried his best to be pleasant, but still she could not trust him. "It's just humans playing tricks on you. There's no such thing as fairies!" She shouted, as she snapped her teeth at his outstretched muzzle and side stepped several paces away. Sweat started to show on her body from the turmoil inside, and all she wanted to do was collapse and cry. She looked to him and snorted, not sure if she should should just run or if she should stay. Instead, she turned, and placed herself in the middle of the creak. Perhaps the cool water rushing over her ankles would help her to relax, would help her to think clearer...but it didn't. Her tail flicked as she sighed, hanging her head and looking to him. "You know neither of us is going to win this inner battle. Our bodies are rebeling against our minds. We an either give it what it wants so that we can relax and speak freely, or we can part ways until at least the sun has set on breeding season..." Her voice trailed off. She did not want to run, something inside her anchored her here with him. And perhaps it was that it was the first horse she'd laid eyes on roaming free in a long while, or the way he talked, or even the strange way he seemed to trust his wood fairy. Dejectedly, almost defeated, she turned her rump towards him. She didn't want o give in, but they would never be able to talk proerply if they were fighting the natural thing. "If you're lucky, you'll shoot planks and you won't have to deal with a mini me running around from this." She was trying to push him away. She felt inadequate right now, she felt ugly, she felt like an abomination for being captured by the humans in the first place. What could break that emotion other than time? She sighed heavily again. "I guess you do want to know the name of the mare oyu're servicing. I am Fleur De Lis, or Flurry."

He watched her body as it was tensing, flicking his ears in different directions as if checking for other sounds. He had his attention on the mare, noticing her ears pinned and pulled back his head just before snapped her teeth at him. Had he not moved, she might have even done some damage. His own ears pinned slightly as well, tail flicking in agitation as he snorted in defiance. When he spoke this time his voice seemed full of power as if he was defending something precious.
"There is such a thing. If you don't believe me i'd show you myself since she lives here in these woods."
He knew how terrified Erviin was of other people, so it made sense that she was a wood Nymph, she didn't want to leave the forest and now that he was here to protect her, whoever tried to harm her would have to deal with him. Armageddon knew he would fight to the death to protect whatever he cared about.
Seeing the mare head to the creek, he stayed where he was, giving her some room he watched her closely though, seeming to take in how she was acting. When she made the comment about how they could either give in tho their Instinctual desires or separate until the sun set on the breeding season.
Now, Twilight didn't quite want to leave this mare, not just because she was in heat, but because there was something about her that drew him in to her, and he didn't want to leave her to defend herself in this world. Slowly walking up to her he gently nudged and nipped at her shoulder, even with her scent now engulfing his nostrils, he didn't make a move to mount her. At least, not yet.
"If I'm lucky... I'd have a young one as beautiful as you running around and causing mayhem for the both of us." His voice was gentle now as he spoke to her, wondering what had happened to her to make her seem so dejected. Once he heard her name spoken, his ears pricked forward as he spoke her name gentle, testing it on his tongue. "Fleur... A beautiful name for one as lovely as you." If he were a man he would have been smiling but instead he gently played with her mane, hoping to try and make her comfortable and make it so he didn't feel as if he would be forcing her.

The mare rolled her eyes; she wasn't about to believe the addled brain of the stallion. They'd gotten him hooked on smelling salts. "A witch, maybe. But no such thing as fairies." She tensed, waiting for the weight on his body to come upon her...but wait she did. Instead, she felt him brush against her side, and instead come along beside her. She heaved a sigh of relief as she looked to him, nickering gently to him in question. Perhaps his resolve was stronger than hers. She gasped at her words, and would have blushed had she been a school girl. Her gaze turned away toward the creek again, feeling ashamed of her onslaught of words. She should have been calmer around another horse; she was safe this far away from humans, as she could tell by the way he walked freely. "You know she's a human, this wood nymph you speak of? There's no such thing. She might be different, just like the heart of a wild horse is not the same as a domestic one-but she's still a human. Still capable of the hatred they share in their blood." She sighed, and hung her head. She did not believe the words he spoke about her beauty. The only time she had been called beautiful was by her mother, so very long ago, and by sex crazed stallions whooping and hollering as she had been paraded past their stalls. This stallion was sweet, unbefitting of his dark name. She hung her head, letting it hang there as her ears flicked forward once again and she drew in a deep sigh once more. There were no such thing as fairies, because then you'd have to believe in fairy tales.

THe stallion didn't say more to the mare about Erviin, he knew what he knew to be true and if she didn't want to believe it that was on her... But he knew his person was a Wood Nymph. Instead he focused on her and playing with her mane gently, lipping at it before grooming her whithers a bit. Almost as if he was testing what she would allow him to comfortable do.
Seeing her hang her head again he gently nudged her shoulder and started to walk forward a bit, glancing back at her as if he was waiting for her to follow him. "Come with me? I'd like to show you a nice place around here... I think you'll like it." His voice was gentle as he spoke her to, waiting patiently for her to follow him.
Should the mare follow the large stallion he'd take her to the large willow tree that hung out over a lake. Glancing up he noticed it happened to be a full moon nice, meaning the moonlight was shining down over the place, giving it what some would call a magical glow. And with the fire flies floating around the air, it seemed even more beautiful here. He would part the Willow branches and give her time to catch up and head under the willow before following her, himself.
"What do you think?"

She had to let him believe what he believed. It was not her right to deny him. She tried her best to stay still and not lean into his gentle nips, despite what she wanted to do...which was lean into it. Perhaps it was within him to resist the temptations...but she had not been around a stallion as...wonderful as he was. As strong, as sweet. She shook her crown and drew in a breath. How much of this was real and how much of this was the hormones talking? Perhaps if she had met him in winter it would have been better. She would have known it was herself talking. But as he continued, she could not help but shift her weight to lean slightly into him, turning her head and nudging his chest gently. It had been a while since she had been with another horse; any horse. Locked in that stall for far too long. She was about to nicker when he moved away. She stood almost wanting more, but she knew it was for the best. She turned her head away, ears flicking back...as if she was ashamed. He was right to have moved away, to further avoid the temptation. But her ears perked again to his words, and she slowly turned his head to him, giving him a slight nod. She followed him in silence, keeping behind him but not too close. She was afraid. She was afraid of what was going through her mind. But as they stepped through to the other side of the willows, she could not help but gasp. She drew in a breath, looking to the sky around them. She spun around as she looked, like a little girl in awe. And finally she landed upon his face, and she nickered gently and stepped closer-reaching out her muzzle to his shoulder and nuzzling it. "Oh Twilly...it's fantastic. It's fantastic..." She took a step back, blinking to him, almost batting her eyes at him. "Jus-just like you." She could at that moment see his dream in her own mind. The little foal running around...and even his wood nymph running her hand over it. She gulped, looking to his back leg where she could see the wound now. She closed her eyes, and drew in a breath. She knew it was the hormone talking...but she knew she didn't want to leave him, even if he had a person. Turning, she presented her rump to him. "Don't worry; I can hold your weight-you don't have to rest it on your wounded hoof. Please. Please..." She looked over her shoulder at him. She'd wait, if he needed to heal longer. But she'd prefer not to...it was already driving her mad.

Armaggeddon watched her quietly, quite happy to simply just be near Fleur, and when he felt her lean into him, he nuzzled her gently before moving from her so he could take her to the Willow tree. Every few moments he'd pause and look back at her, almost as if reminding himself that she was indeed real and that she had not disappeared on him.
When they finally did come to the willow, Armageddon couldn't help but smile at her reaction, chuckling softly to himself as he watched her. When she came up to him and nuzzled his shoulder, he reached out as well to nuzzle her back, lipping at her mane a bit before going back to watching her. He was in awe of how excited she seemed by this place and it truly did make him happy. This time when she offered him her rump, he nuzzled her a bit before nodding.
"I'll be gentle my dear, I promise."
-Time skip past-
When he was once more standing by her side, nuzzling her lovingly, he seemed to be giving her whatever attention she wanted, just happy that he seemed to find someone he could share his time with.
"Would you be willing to stay by my side?"

She could not help but give him a weak smile when he told her he'd be gentle; trying to reassure him that it was okay, but in truth terrified herself. She wasn't sure what would happen. She knew there would be weight...she drew in a breath, holding it for a moment as he heard his hooves leave the ground.
---Time skip---
She sighed in relief; it was not as bad as she thought it was going to be, and was actually...somewhat enjoyable. She nickered gently to him, reaching her muzzle out toward him and nuzzling his shoulder. Her ears flicked to his question, and she looked to him a bit wide eyed. Of course, she didn't want to be anywhere else but by his side-but putting it like that...it just seemed odd. She'd been in herds before, but this was something different. She nickered gently and nipped at his withers, playing with the mane that flowed over them. She drew in a deep breath of his scent, and lifted her head away before leaning against his shoulder for a moment. "Yes...yes. You and your..." Her voice trailed off a minute, as the words hung in her mouth. If Twilight trusted her...then she could to, right? "Wood nymph."

Twilly nuzzled Fleur as he stood by her side, seeming quite happy with himself to have been able to get her affection. He watched as she watched him with wide eyes, guessing that she didn't expect him to ask her to stay at his side. He knew he couldn't push her too quickly with Erviin, but he did want the two to meet, especially since he knew deep down that Erviin was kind unlike all of the other humans.
As she leaned against his shoulder he nuzzled her a bit, seeming to tenderly show her all of his affection as he played gently with her mane, lipping at it, his ears pricking up as she told him she would. He heard the hesitation when she mentioned his wood nymph, nickering softly to her as if he wanted to reassure her. "We don't have to rush anything between you and my Nymph, I'll go at your pace at that. Anything you wish, I shall do my best to grant it to you."

She never wanted to be around humans again. She knew what they were capable of, and she wasn't about to be around them again. If there was one of them, there tended to be more-the wood nymph would have friends who weren't like her. She looked to Twilly, pulling away slightly to look at him. She did not want to drive a wedge between him and his chosen one. Just because he had found her, just because he had met her...doesn't mean that she deserved his full attention. It would be too confusing for him to have to go back and forth...she knew she'd eventually have to leave, venture further away, to where she could raise the foal without fear of it ever being captured by humans. She couldn't tell Twilly that. Twilly would be heartbroken. All she wanted todo was stay and have a family, but...the humans couldn't be trusted. It didn't matter what she had done for Twilly, humans could not be trusted. She nickered gently and reached out to him, nuzzling him. "I don't want to come between you two. It is best to meet her now." She wanted to trust Twilly...but when it came to humans, she simply could not.

Twilight nuzzled Fleur closely, seeming quite okay to have her by his side, though when she stepped back, he looked at her with a bit of worry in his eyes. He hoped she would not leave him now.. for even if he had Erviin to take care of, his main concern now was her.. especially now that she could be with his child. In his mind, that demanded priority, no matter how much he seemed to get along with Erviin.
Listening to her words, he nuzzled her affectionately again, before nodding. "Nothing could keep me from you Fleur... I'll take you to her. Just stay close to me.. please. It's quite deep into the forest."
His voice was calm as he spoke to Fleur, waiting for her to be ready as he started to lead the way to where he had last known Erviin to be. Frequently he'd look back to make sure Fleur was still with him, almost as if he was worried she would disappear. Once he made it to the clearing, he nickered and called for Erviin. His ears flicking in different directions to listen for the quiet sounds the woman barely made. He kept himself so that he would still be between Fleur and Erviin, hoping this went well.. because if no... he had a feeling he'd have to convince Fleur to let him stay with her.
