Xavier walked out of the bathroom to the sound of Judge whining. He glanced over to the German Shepard in the kennel next to his bed. He smiled to him as he spoke. "I know boy. Let me get dressed and I'll take you out for a walk." he was quick to move to his dresser. He rummaged through it until he found some light blue jean shorts and a black band T-shirt. He pulled of his night clothes and tossed them on the bed. There were others that shared the dorm room with him but he had got use to changing without much care over it. They were all guys so what did it matter, right?. He pulled on his clothes and slipped on his sneakers. He walked over to the kennel and popped the latch open as he grab the green leash from the top of it. The dog bounded around the room for a moment in excitement. The boy let him have his moment before calling him over. He clipped the leash to his collar and they were ready to go.
Once outside the boy took him to the far side of the area around the dormitory. He always tried to make sure Judge did his business where it was less likely for someone to step in it. There was the occasions that he didn't have to clean up after him , but that was all part of having a dog. Once Judge had finished they moved on back into the grass area. Xavier happen to find a pretty decent stick so he let the German Shepard off the leash to play. It was about eleven in the morning and the sun was just warm enough for them to be comfortable. Judge barked in excitement as he seen the stick. Xavier laughed a little at him as he tossed the stick for the dog to go chase after.

Ryder was still a little sensitive about the whole revelation of what he was. He still missed Jojo, the family cat who was the first to fall victim to his other side. He was glad when his parents had sent him here, so that he could not hurt them. He feared for himself against his father, but...knowing what he knew now, who could blame them? They were afraid. And so was he. He tended to sleep in, which was something good about the academy that you could pick when your classes started. It hadn't been a full moon yet, but one was coming up shortly. He wasn't quite sure what he was going to do, or what exactly the school was going to do about it. The teachers respected what he was, but only a few had actually approached him about it. He was supposed to protect himself, and use his own discretion on who to tell, there was no list of people that couldn't know or group of people you had to hide it from. But he had been warned, that not all of the teachers were like him, and not all of them would understand, and that some of them wouldn't understand. The environment of the school was much more protective than the outside world, but it still gave you the need to hide what you really were.
He was just stumbling out of bed and threw on a t-shirt; he had slept in gym shorts, to head outside. He could use some fresh air after the dreams he had been having. He wasn't outside for two seconds when the stick whizzed past his head, and every canine instinct in his soul kicked into over drive as he chased after it, catching it in mid air with his hand as if it was a frisbee. Of course, the dog that it had been intended for was also leaping at that moment to get it...
So the two of them ended up in a jumbled mess on the grass. He released the stick and let the dog have it, slightly amused and slightly ashamed that he'd gone chasing after a stick without looking who was attached to the other end or what it was intended for. He sat up, and seeing Xavier, waved a sheepish wave as he still sat in the grass where he'd been knocked over by the german shepherd.

Xavier had let go of the stick and within moments someone stepped out into it path. Lucky it just did miss them and the boy sighed. Was a second longer and he was cringing was she watched the other boy go after the stick then Judge and him end up into a mess on the grass. He started over to them when the boy sat up and waved sheepishly to him. It was Ryder. He knew the boy for school and the fact his dorm room was next to his. They had spoke a few hellos here and there that sometimes lead to a little small talk. Xavier trotted on over to Ryder extending a hand to help him up. Judge pranced around until he found the stick and took off a few feet with it. He laid in a shaded spot and went to chewing on it. The boy breathed in deep as he stood there. His scent of smell was amazing thanks to his shift form. There had always been a smell about Ryder that Xavier couldn't ever place. It never made him uneasy and Judge never made an ill move or growled at him, so the boy just figure that was Ryder's smell. He knew nothing of what Ryder truly was nor did the boy know of what Xavier really was. "You ok there, Ryder?" Xavier looked at him for a moment with a smile. "Sorry about almost hitting you with the stick there and then my dog trampling you." He glanced over at Judge who still happily chewed on the stick. He shook his head slightly. "It his favorite thing to do. Judge loves his sticks." He enjoyed time with his dog. He enjoyed it even better in dog form. He could actually get down on Judge's level and rough house with him. Ostrich , Sorry it's kinda blah wasn't sure where to go with it towards the end.

Ryder couldn't help but laugh at the dogs reaction to him, though he was a bit disappointed when he trotted off with the stick and wasn't up for a game of tug of war. He couldn't pout with his puppy eyes for long though, because bounding over to him was Xavier. "I didn't realize you owned a dog man! That's pretty sweet."They hadn't told him that they allowed pets, and he'd just assumed they didn't. Xavier had always been nice to him when they'd meet in the halls, and they'd exchange pleasantries. He took the boys hand as he offered it, and pulled himself up. "I'm okay, nothing that hasn't happened before."He laughed lightly, looking over to the dog as he seemed to settle down in the shade and start chewing on the stick. Ryder brushed himself off and ran a hand through his hair, fixing it a little bit before turning his attention back to Xavier when he started speaking again. "That's okay, I'm a fan of balls myself."He laughed, not even realizing what he had said right off the bat. "Friends back home used to say I acted like a dog I was so obsessed with them."It was a few moments later that he realized what exactly had just come out of his mouth, and his cheeks flushed pink. The boy smiled as Ryder spoke. "Yea, been my partner in criminal for a while now. Probably haven't seen him before now cause he's really good at just being calm when in the room and I usually take him out early in the morning or late evenings." Xavier had extended his hand to him and once he felt Ryder's hand in his he gripped it so he could pull himself up. Once upright the boy spoke again and Xavier chuckled with him. He made himself comment about Judge and couldn't help but giggle a little to Ryder's response back. "I understand that. I love balls as well and sticks. They are the best to play tug a war with. I really enjoyed what I can do with him." He had choose his wording carefully as spoke trying not to say exactly what he did with him. He wasn't for sure if the boy was one that knew of magic and it was a strict rule that it was not spoken to with normal humans. He smiled; "So how is classes going? Any interesting or fun ones?" About this time Judge trotted over to Ryder dropping the chewed on stick at his feet. He smell him for a moment then dropped into a play stance. He barked once looking to the boy then to the stick. Xavier giggled again. "Seems someone likes you and wants to play."

Ryder smiled nervously, running his hand over the back of his neck. He breathed a sigh of relief when Xavier merely giggled, and even agreed with him about the balls. It wasn't meant to be anything obscene, but of course, being a teenage boy, that's immediately where it went. "Get a good rope, now that's the best to have." He turned a beet red again as he realized that everything he was saying could be turned into something sexual. It wasn't like he had a dog to refer it to, like Xavier was doing. And it didn't help that while he was good at hiding it, he was nervous at talking to guys he found cute...and he'd always thought Xavier was definitely within that category. "I wish I had a dog to do things like that with." He said in response to Xavier's comment of being glad for what he could do to play with Judge. He smiled toward Xavier. "They're going okay. Still getting the hang of the homework loads; where I'm from they give you a little more time. But then, that's also cause it wasn't a boarding school I guess. Here they seem to think all you do is homework!" He laughed, glancing over to Judge as he trotted over. He glanced back to Xavier. "What about your classes? Learning anything fun?" As the dog sniffed him, he tensed slightly. Sometimes dogs were fine with him, sometimes they would start barking at him like they had seen a ghost, and he could never figure out why. He gulped, but relaxed as the dog dropped down to play stance, and a wide grin spread across his face. He glanced to Xavier as he made his comment, and shrugged before he dropped down to his hands and knees and went into the play stance, barking once back to Judge. Without hesitation, he grabbed the stick in his teeth and with a glance at Judge, got up on his hands and feet and went cantering off with it.

Xavier noticed the boy seemed nervous, but he couldn't see why. He hadn't picked on the fact that everything Ryder commented on seemed to come off sexual. It was so normal to talk about balls, ropes, and other objects dogs play with. For some reason he couldn't help but smile at him. "I wish I had a dog to do things like that with." Without missing a beat Xavier made a comment back; "Your more than welcome to spend time with Judge if you want." He smiled looking to the dog as he come up to sniff at the other boy. "I'm sure he'd enjoy it." The shepherd had dropped into a play stance and he watched as Ryder tensed a little for a moment. It passed soon as the boy seemed to realize he just wanted to play. Xavier was mildly surprised when the boy dropped to his hands and knee as he grabbed the stick in his mouth. It was just the fact he hadn't been expecting it. Ryder took off with the stick and had Judge hot on his heels trying to work the stick from him. The dog barked at him a playing manner. The sight had Xavier laughing with joy. He trotted after them to join the fun. Ostrich , Sorry it's kinda short. I'm sure they will get longer as I get back into the swing of playing him again.

Ryder did a lot of things that would be considered unexpected or weird by most of the population, but he just found them to be normal. He'd never figured out why he seemed to get along better with dogs than humans-perhaps because they weren't as judgmental...he had only the slightest idea of what he was; that he had black outs and things and people ended up hurt. He had never had a friend to talk to about it, never really understood the weird things that went on at the school. He'd notice that when the full moon was out was when he'd have the blackouts, and he'd wake up with a torn up pillow and have to call the TA to come unlock the door. They hadn't allowed him a roommate; not that he would have wanted one anyway. Playing with the dog just felt natural, and so did running on all fours and having a stick in his mouth. He slowed to a stop and dropped the stick as Xavier ran up to join him and the dog, a bit of a confounded look on his face. "Do you ever just get a sense of deja vu at really random times?" It was the feel of the wind in his hair down on all fours that really made him take pause to it. He felt like he'd done that before...
OOC: Sorry it sucks. Still trying to figure him all out.
