A gray mare called out in annoyance as she paced within her stall. She'd been stuck in here since the storm him and she was ready to get out of it. She kicked at the back of her stall to sound out her impatience. She could hear that the storm was over, and the sound of songbirds told her it was sunny outside. Which meant she could go outside, at least, that's what she told herself. It was still pretty early in the morning as she shrieked and demanded to be let out of her stall, kicking the wall again before the sound of a somewhat young fellow came closer to her. He scolded her to knock off her nonsense, all while he was grabbing the lead rope that hung by her stall. She backed up for him to enter, pawing at her bedding. Her energy was through the roof as she bobbed her head, jumping as she felt a light smack on her chest. Pinning her ears she nipped at the stable hand, seeming rather agitated with him now and wondering where Howie was. The moment they stepped out of the stables though, she was arching her neck and prancing, yanking her head to go to one of the pastures, she didn't care which one and it seemed the energetic filly was proving to be a bit much for the young lad to handle. So without checking the fence lines, the stable hand put the energetic mare into the closet field, allowing her the freedom she'd been demanding. Shrieking with excitement she tore off the moment the lead clip was off her halter, racing across the field as she burned up the energy she'd been storing. The filly took a couple minutes before she finally calmed down, her beautiful Grey coat covered somewhat in sweat as she flared her nostrils, starting to check out the field in a calm manner. That is... until she noticed one of the fences had been downed by a tree. Growing excited she cantered over to the down fence, taking a few moments to look at it before jumping over. It was small enough that she only had to back up a bit before trotting up to it, but she realized she was now outside of her pasture and decided to go exploring. Ostrich RileyCasper

Booker was a ball of energy. There was nothing in him that was calm yet, and though he would listen well to his person-he hadn't seen her since she'd hurriedly ran out in the brunt of the storm to get him inside. He hoped she was okay...she was nice, and she had gotten rid of that damn fly. The other woman...he hoped he hadn't upset her, but she hadn't helped him with the fly. She'd acted like he was possessed or something, which, she probably would again if she saw the way he was acting. Booker generally didn't have any vices. He didn't crip, he didn't stall walk, he normally didn't kick at the stall door-that is, if he was properly entertained. But in the rush to get him in from the storm, she hadn't retied the jolly ball high enough, and so it was laying in a corner of the stall. He snorted and lowered his head to it, bumping it against the red rubber. It barely moved, shoved in a corner. He squealed at it and stomped his hoof, demanding it to entertain him. Picking it up, he threw it across the stall, and it hit the stall door sending it shaking and sending Booker squealing and whinnying like he'd done something wrong. He grabbed the jolly ball by the handle and shook it like a dog would shake a bone. The stable hand came hurriedly up to the stall. "Quit that racket!"He wasn't paying attention. He wasn't even caring he was just trying to get his job done; and so far he'd done a decent job of it; he was the only one that had showed up to work that morning, and Howie and Ariana had been stuck in California at a competition and weren't able to make the trip home until later in the day. Eddie was off at the vet taking care of things there...it all fell on the one stable hand. He tried to take the jolly ball from Booker but he refused to let him. He grabbed for the lead rope, but it wasn't hanging where it was supposed to be. Muttering under his breath, he trudged on down the aisle toward the tack room...leaving Booker's stall door open. Several horses protested as they saw Booker's head poke out, holding the jolly ball. And then the rest of his neck, and then he shoved his shoulders through, shimmying slightly, and then the rest of him followed. For a moment, he stood in the aisleway, horses whinnying. "OH SHUT IT!"Cried the poor stable boy, before he came out of the tack room and saw that Booker was standing in the aisleway. His eyes grew wide for a moment, but Booker thought it was just a game. He gave a squeal and flicked his ears before darting out the door. "FINE!"Shouted the stable boy, running after him for a minute or so before he grabbed onto his knees panting. The farm was closed in, so there wasn't anyway for him to get out...well, so he thought. He would get the damn horse once all the others were out. He had time before Ariana got back. Ariana wouldn't be mad, the damn horse would probably come when she whistled. It sickened the stable boy, he hated his job right then and threw up his hands as he headed inside. Booker on the other hand slowed to a trot, seeing that the boy was no longer following. His ears drooped a little, and he almost headed back toward the barn, but he caught sight of Ariashi jumping the fence. He squealed, thinking it looked to be great fun, still with the jolly ball in his mouth and he picked up a canter toward her. It didn't take him long before he got to a few feet from her, and nickered, ears flicking as he slowed to a walk. He dropped the jolly ball, and lowered his head, before butting the ball with his nose toward the gray mare. RileyCasper night

Arashi noticed the grass was taller on this side of the fence and was happily munching and pulling on the grass as she had a field day. She wasn't worried at all about what could happen when Howie came home, but in all truth she wasn't really thinking about such. She felt as if she could soften the grumpy man up with a couple of loving nudges and a nice game of lipping at his coat.
Gray ears flicked as she heard another horse approaching and calling out. Picking her head up with a couple long blades of grass sticking out from one side, she nickered back to the stallion, her ears pricked forward as she noticed the red ball in his mouth. A mischievous look in her eyes as she watched him roll it towards her. She picked it up, seeming to look as if she was up to no good, bobbing her head before turning and trotting off with the ball, her head high as if she was proud of herself. Stopping a bit of a ways, away before looking back, wondering if he was going to follow her and play a bit more.

At first, Booker frowned when the mare didn't seem to react instantly, but his ears flicked. He waited, seeing if she would. She took a second, and then he saw the glimmer of mischief in her eyes as she snatched it up and trotted away. He squealed and tossed his head up, pouting with his lower lip out as his ears flicked back momentarily. Why would she steal it and run? As she flagged her tail and let it flow behind her...she was a quite pretty mare. If he had been a human boy, he probably would've blushed at the thought...he was still quite young, merely a teenager after all, and the thoughts of the birds and the bees were still quite new to him...but something about that mare got him a little excited, even if most of it was just for having someone to play with. As she turned her head and looked over her shoulder at him, seeming to be calling him, he squealed and tossed his head, picking up a canter as he brought his head to his neck and moved in perfect step toward her. He wanted to look pretty for the pretty mare, after all...he could let her have the jolly ball for a little while. He'd get it back eventually...somehow.

Arashi watched the stallion canter towards him, finding his stride rather nice add she tossed her head, letting go of the ball. She squealed as it sailed over a pasture fence, looking over at the stallion apologetically as she reached het muzzle out towards him, lipping at his forelock. She loomed along the fence line as if trying tip figure out how to get into the pasture and get the ball back.
Looking back att the field she had jumped out of she noticed it wad connected to the pasture where the ball was. Playfully nipping at Booker's should she trotted over the the fence line, jumping over the tree again before looming herself up for the next little jump. Being inexperienced as she was though, as she landed the slight slope of the ground cause her to slip in the mud. She squealed as she fell onto her side, rolling over to her other side before getting up, het once beautiful grey coat now completely covered in a thick mud. She shook her self, unable to get the mud off of herself as she loomed back ay the stallion, calling him over. Pushing the jolly ball astound a bit before looking back at the stallion, seeming to wait for him.

Booker reached his muzzle toward her, ears flicking as he blew gently at her...Nostrils flared to bring in her sweet scent to him. He hadn't really noticed mares before, just was too busy with his human to...but this one, she seemed very...he wasn't sure how to put it. Something about her was quite alluring, and he was quite intrigued by it. However, his focus turned to the ball as it sailed over the pasture fence, and he squealed. He pouted a moment, ears flopped to the side as he stared woefully at the ball on the other side of the fence. He looked to the mare as she seemed to look for a way to get it back, and then ran off. He squealed in anger, demanding her return his ball...but she never left his sight, staying along the fence line, and into the paddock. She slipped though, and he squealed-he didn't want to see her hurt. He kicked at the fence railing, turning and kicking out with his back legs, loosening the board and causing it to fall. He squealed, it felt a little funny when it gave. He spun around, and saw the mare standing then, calling him over. Snorting...he backed up a few steps and jumped the fence, but he misjudged the distance and hung a leg. He squealed, the board pulling at his leg but it didn't affect him too much, he just stumbled and shook his head to look as if nothing was the matter. He looked to the mare, who stood now completely thick with mud. He did his best not to laugh as he stepped a little closer, then his eyes dropped to the jolly ball. With a squeal of delight he snatched it up off the ground and pranced around with it. He wasn't going to let the mare steal it away again! night

Arashi pricked her ears towards the dark stallion as she cocked her head a bit watching him as he jumped over the fence he'd kicked down before tossing her head and running after him as he grabbed the jolly ball, wanting to play with him. She squealed as her ears flicked backwards. As she got close to him, she'd nip at his shoulder, before nipping at the ball. Flicking her tail, not quite paying attention to the scent that was coming from her. She continued to chase the young stallion, attempting to get the ball back. Eventually she grew bored and simply stopped before trotting away to go graze on some lush grass. Ostrich

Booker paused mid step at the scent that sent his nostrils flaring. His ears flicked back and forth as he tried to place it, comprehend it. But as soon as it had come, it had gone, floating away on the wind. He squealed and playfully kicked out at the mare as she nipped toward him, tossing his head away and just out of her reach so that she couldn't steal his ball. He slid to a stop as she snapped at it once more, nearly falling back onto his haunches in the slick mud beneath his feet; but he did not fall completely. Bewildered as he may be, he was still fairly surefooted. As the mare grew tired of the game and drew away, Booker became more interested in her and less in the ball. With a squeal, demanding her further attention, he tossed the ball aside and arched his nape as he pranced over toward her and the lush grass she gnawed now upon. Stealing a bite for himself, he munched on it, and looked to her...still not quite sure what to say to her. Something in him was raging now because of the scent he had smelled earlier...Ears flicked and nares flared, as he leaned toward the mare and drew in a heavy breath. With it, he squealed and stomped a hoof...how could he have been so foolish not to have noticed it? Auds flicked, and he reached out to nip at her rump; testing her to see if she was willing or if it had been by accident. Only a flickering thought crossed his mind of the trouble they could get into, but she should not be tempting him so... night

Arashi was calmly pulling at eating at the fresh grass in quiet as her ears flicked towards the stallion, listening to him squeal as she raised her head up at him, chewing her grass. She noticed he was prancing over to her and arching his neck. Her ears flicked towards him as she flicked her tail at her side, getting mud all over the once gorgeously clean hairs. It was going to be one hell of a bath to clean her off and get her grey coat glistening again. She reached her muzzle out towards him, cautiously as she sniffed at him, lipping gently at whatever she could reach. She flicked her ears in different directions but overall she didn't seem all that bothered by him being near her. Ostrich

Booker couldn't decide if she wasn't paying attention to him because she wasn't interested, or if because she was and was playing hard to get. He squealed, auds flicking, as he stomped a hoof, trying to demand the attention from her...but that was certainly no way to treat a lady, and he scolded himself for it. It was a few moments though before she raised her head and began noticing him, auds flicked forward in anticipation as he brushed his muzzle against hers. It sent a bit of electricity through him. He nickered excitedly, arching his nape once more as he stepped closer to her still, nostrils flaring as he brought her scent into his nares and let it course through his brain to decide what to do with it. This could either be very fun, or very dangerous, depending on how it was interpreted by her. Clearing his throat, his voice finally flowed from his lips, confident and sure of himself in them...even if he was completely out of his league trying to woo her. "Never have I seen a mare as beautiful as thee; the way you walk, the way you play, even the way you stand there, coaxing me onward; drawing me nearer. Won't you let me lie with you tonight, my beautiful queen?" He dipped his head low to her, his eyes the only thing that remained trained upon her. "I am Booker...what name befits the fair lady before mine eyes?"

Hearing the stallion squeal again as he stomped his hoof, caused Arashi to pay a bit more attention to him, cocking her head slightly as she watched him arching his neck. As they touched muzzles, she felt the shock and jolted her head back slightly, watching him a bit cautiously. She watched him come closer as she stayed quiet, seeming to let him near by as she reached to sniff at his shoulder. Her ears flicked in the direction of his voice as she straightened herself to watch him as he talked, listening to his words, pricking her ears forward as she started to walk around him slowly, playfully nipping at his mane.
Eventually she answered him as she was now standing quite close on his other side, she gently nipped at his mane as she spoke softly to him. "You are quite the smooth talker, I must admit, though I do wonder.... Booker..." She paused as she seemed to think for a bit before shaking her head slightly. "You are quite charming and endearing, though besides those qualities, why should I let you lie with me tonight?" She nudged at his shoulder. "I'm Arashi, by the way my knight."

She had a very valid point, as she nipped at him and sent shivers up her spine. She was also quite the looker, but he did not know how exactly to woo a mare, as he had never before had to do it. He snorted before reaching out to her again, nuzzling her shoulder and getting mud all over his entire head. He couldn't help but shake his head and snort, but the mud was still there. He flicked his ears and that was all, before looking upon her. At her comment about being her knight, he arched his nape again and nudged her once more. "Can you imagine what joy a little one might bring the humans? I'm sure they would be quite pleased with us...they probably hadn't even thought of bringing the best of both worlds together. And besides, my dear, it would get you out of work for a while..." Pleasing the humans, would she care to do it because of that? It was the best thing he could come up with. And, he did not want to be torn away from her. "Besides, my princess, perhaps they will not tear us apart if they know we've already done things. I never want to leave your side, my moonlight Arashi."

She watched him as she stood by his side, noticing he was arching his next and seeming to try and entire her. She found his movements endearing though as she heard his words, she almost chuckled. "I cannot speak for your human, though I'm not quite sure mine would wish for me to bring them a little one quite so early in my training, even as nice as it sounds." She seemed to think for quite a bit as she reached down to grab a few more bits of grass to eat at. "I will say though, i do quite enjoy being around you, Booker... and I would not mind allowing you to lie with me this one time." She playfully nipped at his mane, rubbing her head against his shoulder. "If we are lucky, they might night tear us apart." She had given him his approval to mount her and lie with her for the time being, as to how Howie would react, she wasn't sure... not to mention the poor stable boy who would be in the path of her owner's wrath.... she almost pitied the lone boy, but at the same time, one would think better before allowing a mare and stallion anywhere near each other.

Booker nickered softly to her, lost for words to respond to hers. He did not know her human, though he was quite sure his mistress would be quite proud of him for thinking it up. It didn't always take on the first time anyway, did it? So they might not get the chance to raise a little one, but it would be a healthy learning experience for the both of them. With her permission given, he nuzzled along her, nipping playfully at her body as he positioned himself behind her to mount. He took a long, deep breath before mounting her, and beginning the deed.
Just as they had begun, and started the thralls of passion, a truck began to pull down the drive way; the farm truck. It cared two very specific people in it: Howard, Arashi's owner, and Annabelinda, Booker's owner. There was some tension between them as they drove down the way; it had just been a long day and they were both a little tired, so they were riding in silence. Until Howie looked through the muck and saw what was happening to Arashi, slamming on the breaks. "WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS GOING ON!" He shouted, with the windows still up and definitely not in an inside voice. He barely bothered to put the truck in park before he threw open the door and stormed out. "HEEENNNRYYYY----WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU DONE!" He stormed toward the fence of the pasture, scrambling in the mud to try and climb it quickly and get the stallion off. He slipped from the slim, scraping his shoulder as he stumbled onto his ass in the mud.
Booker was completely oblivious to the shouting at the other end of the paddock, in a state of bliss. He had never dreamed something so simple would feel so...good. Heaving heavily, he finally released his seed and dismounted, only then hearing the screaming groan from across the paddock. His ears flicked to see the man in the mud flop backwards, almost appearing as if he had fainted. "I do believe that is your owner, then?"

Arashi bumped her nose against Booker’s as he nickered softly to her. She was inexperienced in such things, but simply braced herself for Booker’s weight, still grabbing what grass was nearby her as they did the deed. It was strange to think something that felt good, could cause so much anger in one person. She head popped up as she heard a truck pulling up the driveway, her ears flicking in the direction of the noise. Just barely picking up the yell, her gray ears flicked back as she nickered nervously, not liking the tone as she heard Howie yelling.
She felt Booker heave heavily, felt his seed before feeling his weight remove from her back. She backed to his side at Howie yelling for this… Henry. She didn’t want to get near him when he was this angry, never having been one to like be near extreme emotions like this, being as sensitive as she was.
Seeing Howie fall however, she felt the instinct to start moving in that direction to check on him. Glancing back at Booker, she nodded. “That would be him… seems he’s quite angry…” She continued to move closer at a slow pace, being careful in the mud as she tilted her head, trying to check on the angry man to make sure he was okay after he’d fallen.
“I’ve never seen him this angry however…”

Touch me, touch me, don't be sweet ri's hands were held softly in her lap, her eyes half closed. Her and Howie had done well in their performance, but to her, she could always do better and she felt as if she brought Howie down. Her thoughts were interrupted when Howie yelled. She followed his gaze and as he stormed out of the truck she did the same. She wasn't quite as angry as Howie was, she was entertained. As she hurried over to Howie and over the fence to help him up, she sunk into the mud herself and stumbled onto Howie. She looked to the two horses and then to Howie, tears starting to come to her eyes... looking as if she was about to cry A high pitched laugh came from her lips, she placed her head against Howie's chest and laughed, completely unable to control her laughter. "Well, Howie, I guess Arashi and Booker found love like we did." She still couldn't hold back her laughter, her face still in his chest. She whistled against Howie's chest, hoping Booker would come help her up, and ease Howie about their closeness. | ✉ | Hope it was okay for me to join in when i did... |

Booker snorted, ears flicking to hear her words of caution. Seeing Ari step out of the truck, he looked to Arashi, then to Ari. Butting his head gently against Arashi. "We better go see what they are mad at. They wouldn't hurt us...?" He said it with almost a question. He didn't know Howie, but he did know Ari, and he didn't think that she would let anyone that close to her that mistreated horses. Sighing heavily, he walked over to Ari and snorted at her hair, before nudging her shoulder.
Howie lay in the mud, staring at the sky. His olympic hopeful. His prize star horse, little Arashi, was just mounted by some freak of nature black andulusian. He couldn't be too mad at the horses, they were simply following instinct, but whoever let it happen...needed to run. Run very far far away and never return. He was silent, not responding to Ari's comment about finding love. That was one thing Howie did not understand about horses; their emotions and everything. They were means to an end, they were beasts...they were loved, of course, but he did not know how they reciprocated it. He squeaked as Ari fell, giggling on him, and he sighed. There was no use in all of it, there was no use blaming Ari either. Though with a smirk, he flopped his hands to the side of him and made a lovely mud angel, making sure his palms were down. He looked to Ari, peacefully resting on his chest. "If I didn't know better, I would think you had planned this, you sly minx." He took her chin, with his dirty hands, and lifted it up to kiss her. It wasn't a moment later that the horse came over to them. He hadn't really seen the horse around before. "I'm assuming he's yours then, princess?" Henry tried his best to sneak away, but Howie, like a hawk, spotted him. "You know you're fired, right? Get out." The only thing keeping him down was the fact that Ari was on top of him. Henry had only laid eyes on the truck, not the fact that they were in the mud. He wanted to wring his neck. But at the sound of the brit's voice, the boy simply ran and got in his car.

Hearing Booker mention that they should go see what their humans were mad at, Arashi followed behind the stallion. Lowering her head so she could watch Howie as she got closer to them, her warm breath blowing over him. Gently lipping at his head as she tilted her head slightly, almost as if wondering what in the world he was doing on the ground. He was a strange human and she was still on edge from his anger. It wasn’t until she noticed the stable hand walking that she picked up her head, pinning her ears as she tossed her head. She still hadn’t forgiven the boy for the smack on her chest earlier. It hadn’t been hard or anything, but she was a sensitive horse and didn’t like people who were too strong with their body language.
Turning her attention back to the pair on the ground, she watched them for a moment before nipping at Booker’s shoulder playfully. She watched that Booker nudged the shoulder of earlier before reaching her nose out to sniff at the woman before nickering softly. “I take it this is your person?”

Touch me, touch me, don't be sweet ri's chuckles began again when Howie made a mud angel beneath her. "I really didn't plan this, I just lost my footing coming over the fence." She said, his dirty hands taking his chin, oh god the mud on her face. She made the funniest looking grimace before returning the gentle kiss, her eyes closing softly. When they parted she longed for the kiss to linger but when he spoke again, she melted at the new nickname. He hadn't called her Princess yet before. Ari's shoulder nudged forward with the little stallions nudge. "Remember that trip you sent me to the sales barn? Yeah I picked him up. I really hope he can be trained to be an olympic level dressage like Ditzy, he does have a lot of promise." Her gaze followed Howie's to Henry... She was glad to have that stupid little stable hand out of the barn, he never seemed to do his job right. She lifted her arms from Howie to Booker, stroking his chin above her. She leaned back slightly and used Booker's broad chest to help her up from the mud. "This is Booker T. Washington, love." Once up, she offered her hand to Arashi for her to sniff further. | ✉ | Ugh, why is she so sweet. aRASHI'S ADORABLE BTW. |

Booker grinned as his human ran his hands over her, not worrying about the mud on his coat-she'd just wash it off later. He helped Ari up, still staring at Howie on the ground, then moved closer to Ariashi and drapped his neck over her shoulder, nipping playfully at her tresses. He looked to the humans a moment before tucking his muzzle and pulling Arashi a little closer, as if to say "mine." He grinned to Arashi, nuzzling her again. "Yes, the one with the pretty mane is mine."
Howie blinked, sighing as he seemed content in the mud. Perhaps he should take a day off with Ariana and go do a mud bath at the spa here in town...but then who would deal with the horses? Without another stable hand, they were down a person. Even with Richard back, he'd have to be here to over see things and whoever came to replace the twit he just fired would need proper direction. Grinning up to Ariana and her grimace at the mud, he laughed a hearty deep laugh. Flopping his hand to the side, he started flinging his hands and legs around. He didn't expect Ariashi to come to his aid like Booker did to Ari's, though she did nudge his shoulder. She was just as muddy as he was, and so he patted her gently on the muzzle with his muddy hand before leaning up and standing up. He glanced down to the indent in the ground. "Look Ariana, it's a mud angel." He glanced to the two horses, and momentarily forgetting his muddy hands, rubbed his chin. "Perhaps that's what we should name their foal. Mud Angel." He glanced at them both; they did make a fine couple standing there. "The damage has already been done, we might as well leave them together and make sure it takes. We have to fix fences and shit of course, that damn storm that came through..."
