A gloved hand gripped gently at the gate that lead to the round pen before the horse and rider pair. Her body trembled as she gripped the gate. The fjord beside her gave a shake of her head causing the reins to jingle. It had been a while since Alyce had even rode Zelda. Although the whole reason of coming back now was more to see the lady she met on the trails, Liv. [break][break] Once the gate was opened, she walked into the correl and closed the gate behind her and Zelda and the mare got excited, bouncing her head up and down. "Yes I know girl, it's been a long time." She whispered to her, stroking between her ears. Lifting herself into the saddle, she started walking Zelda in circles around the round pen. Zelda listen clearly to every command, reacting instantly. Atleast she wasn't out of practice. [break][break] Not even five minutes into the ride and a sharp pain shot through Alyce's stomach and she lurched forward. "Woah." She muttered her head resting against Zelda's neck. Zelda took this as a command to stop so she did, confused at why her owner wanted to stop. She could feel her owner in pain and Zelda let out a loud squeal, looking around frantically for anyone nearby. As they [break] replace reality.

It had been an interesting few weeks for the ranch, and most certainly for Liv. She hadn't really wanted to expose herself so quickly to Devon, but time was of the essence in that case. Whatever happened now though was out of her control. She was out dealing with the bulls and training them on the cart, Lazarus tottaling behind like a puppy would; he was an adorable little thing that she was glad she had rescued. Cowboy Heat was being a bit stubborn today, barely wanting to move unless she actually smacked him with the bull whip; something that pained her to do. It wasn't like she was making him cart a big load, it was just her. As she made her way up from the parts barn and toward the regular barn, where she planned to practice some cattle roping with the bull and Cleopatra in one of the open paddocks. It was then that she heard the squeal of a horse, and Lazarus-always curious-darted up ahead to see what the matter was. When she heard Lazarus's squeal, she knew something was wrong. She clucked and slapped the reins against Cowboy, even he seemed to know that something was the matter. Moving at a bit of a canter even he made his way toward the direction of the sound, toward the round pens. She pulled him to a stop a little ways from where Lazarus stood, seemingly concerned. Liv wasn't about to spook the horse further, so she proceeded cautiously, while she watched Lazarus try to stick his head through the fence. Liv's eyes lit up when she realized it was Alyce; she hadn't seen the woman around and was beginning to wonder if their encounter had made the woman sour to her and the stable. She'd been making sure to check on her horses and give them a treat here or there. When she realized that the woman was doubled over in pain though, she let herself into the round pen and hurriedly walked over to the mare, putting one hand on the mare's reins and one hand on Alyce's knee. "Hey, hey, you okay? What's wrong?"

She didn't hear the voice until she felt a hand on her leg and Zelda stop moving. [break][break] The mare straightened her neck to help hold her rider in place. Worry crossed her eyes as she looked at Liv who held her reins, then down to Lazarus. [break][break] Alyce's face turned to look at Liv, it completely crossed with pain. "It's nothing, it's just been a long time." Tears started to roll down her cheeks from the pain. She didn't know what to say, what to do so she just stared at Liv, hand on her stomach. After several minutes of staying still she shook her head and moved to dismount Zelda on the opposite side of Liv. "I guess I'm just not ready to ride again. I'm really sorry to worry you." Her stomach looked slightly bloated as she walked around Zelda, her hand resting on the mare's muzzle. As they [break] replace reality.

Liv raised an eyebrow at her pretty much lack of explanation. She didn’t know the woman that well, other than she was hot and had been totally chill when Liv had a blade to her neck on the trail. They’d hadinteresting times on that trail ride but she hadn’t seen her since then. Figured she was a ghost maybe, who knew in this crazy town? She furrowed her brows when she gave no indication. “Did something happen? Did someone hurt you?” She dropped the reins of the horse and cracked her knuckles. She’d be damned if anyone hurt her...sexual fantasy. “Just tell me who and we’ll go punch their lights out.”
